Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform basic and specialized ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor. You will prepare patients, adjust equipment, rotate shifts, and assist in training Technologist Students.

Must hold ARDMS certification, have three years of diagnostic ultrasound experience, and demonstrate excellent English communication. Ambulatory clinic work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess ARDMS certification.
• Three years of diagnostic ultrasound experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• May be assigned to ambulatory clinics.
• Pediatric ultrasound experience including neonatal heads.
• Ability to maintain a work pace and establish relationships within the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures and more complex specialized ones.
• Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest, operate imaging systems.
• Rotate shifts and assignments; hours may include holiday rotation.
• Assist in training of Technologist Students; maintain professional conduct with staff, patients and visitors.
