Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA seeks a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to perform basic and advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures. You will prepare and position patients, operate imaging systems, and assist in training Technologist Students as assigned. Schedule: 3x12.

Must hold ARDMS certification, with at least three years of diagnostic ultrasound experience, and excellent English communication. Experience with pediatric ultrasound and listed exams is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess ARDMS certification.
• Must have three years experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics.
• Experience with Pediatric ultrasound to include neonatal heads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Competent with NICU, Vascular surgery, Breast imaging, dialysis access, arterial studies, carotid Doppler and TIPPS.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures and more complex specialized procedures.
• Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest.
• Operate various stationary and portable imaging systems.
• Assist in the training of Technologist Students as assigned.
