Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, prepare and position patients, and operate imaging systems.

The role includes training technologist students and requires ARDMS certification, at least three years of diagnostic ultrasound experience, and excellent English communication skills. The schedule is 3x12 and responsibilities may include pediatric imaging.

Qualifications

• Must possess ARDMS certification.
• Must have three years experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics.
• Experience with Pediatric ultrasound to include neonatal heads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Competent with exams: NICU, vascular surgery, breast imaging, dialysis access, arterial upper/lower extremity, carotid Doppler, and TIPPS.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Incumbent performs the full range of basic diagnostic Ultrasound procedures and the more complex specialized procedures.
• Will prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest, operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems.
• Assists in the training of Technologist Students as assigned.
