Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including pediatric and NICU imaging, under the supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor. You will prepare and position patients, adjust equipment, and operate imaging systems.

The role requires shift rotation and potential training of Technologist Students. Strong English communication, ARDMS certification, and 3 years of ultrasound experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess A.R.D.M.S. certification.
• Three years experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics.
• Experience with Pediatric ultrasound to include neonatal heads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Competent with the following exams: NICU, Vascular surgery, Breast imaging, dialysis access, arterial upper and lower extremity, carotid Doppler studies, and TIPPS.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures and the more complex specialized procedures.
• Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest, operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems.
• Will rotate shifts and assignments as needed; assist in training Technologist Students as assigned.
