Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. You will prepare and position patients, adjust equipment, and operate various imaging systems, with rotation to different areas as needed.

Must hold ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular, plus a second credential by probation end. Flexibility with shifts and travel to inpatient/outpatient exams is required.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular with a second credential by end of 6-month probation.
• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school.
• Flexibility in scheduling; ability to rotate shifts and cover weekends/holidays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
• Prepare and position patients; adjust equipment to demonstrate area of interest.
• Operate stationary and portable imaging equipment and systems.
• May rotate to other areas of the medical center as needed; maintain equipment and log repairs.
