Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform the full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures for adult and pediatric patients. The role requires preparing, positioning, and operating imaging systems while maintaining equipment and logs.

You may rotate to other areas and participate in holiday scheduling. The successful candidate will hold ARDMS credentials and a formal ultrasound training program, with strong English communication and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular by hire and a second credential by end of 6-month probationary period
• Must perform both inpatient and outpatient exams, and all other ultrasound exams as needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
• Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures on adults and children
• Prepare and position patients; adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest
• Operate stationary and portable imaging systems and maintain logs
• May rotate to other areas of the medical center and cover shifts/holidays
