Qualifications

• Graduate with a certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology program.
• ARDMS registration or eligibility to take the registry exam within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum of five years of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient comfort and arranges equipment for procedures; explains the procedure to patients.
• Maintains and cleans equipment; sterilizes devices and performs preventative maintenance.
• Performs ultrasound and ensures the transducer captures quality images.
• Evaluates images for quality and interprets findings.
• Presents images and preliminary findings to physicians and the care team.
• Maintains patient records and adds medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
