Job summary

NYU Langone Health's NYU Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan is seeking a Senior Ultrasound Technologist (FGP) for the Trinity campus. The role performs diagnostic sonographic examinations, operates ultrasonic equipment, and contributes to teaching Ultrasound Technology students in a busy clinical setting.

The successful candidate will have a certificate in ultrasound/vascular technology, ARDMS registry eligibility within 12 months, and five years of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
• Registered or registry eligible to take the ARDMS exam within 1 year of hire date.
• Five years ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient comfort and prepares equipment for the procedure.
• Maintains equipment in proper functioning order and sterilizes as required.
• Performs the ultrasound and ensures the transducer captures images correctly.
• Evaluates image quality and interprets the findings.
• Presents images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintains patient records and medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
