Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Manhattan invites an Ultrasound Technologist (FGP) to join our diagnostic imaging team. The role entails performing diagnostic sonographic exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and recording data to support patient care.

The incumbent will also provide training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students. We value technical proficiency, accuracy, and clear communication with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology program.
• Registered or registry eligible to take the ARDMS exam within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors student clinical training and guides them to perform ultrasound procedures.
• Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment; performs quality control checks and reports malfunctions.
• Explains procedures to patients; adapts exams to maximize information based on patient condition.
• Follows department protocols and HIPAA/HIS-RIS procedures to verify orders and schedule exams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
