Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
• Registered as American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or eligible.
• Five years ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of HIS/RIS and HIPAA; selects patient information and schedules exams.
• Performs ultrasound studies and ensures quality images.
• Directs and monitors student clinical training.
• Maintains equipment and performs QC checks.
• Explains procedures to patients and adapts exams as needed.
• Follows established radiology protocols and isolation precautions.
