Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Panel Engineering to lead the design and engineering of UL 508A listed panels.

You will own compliance, manage a team of panel design engineers and drafters, and partner with Sales, OEM, and Quality to align engineering with commercial goals. With 10+ years in electrical/panel design and 5+ years in leadership, you will drive design integrity, change control, and continuous improvement while mentoring engineers and ensuring on-time,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Working knowledge of UL 508A panel construction requirements.
Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70, NEMA, IEC standards.
Proficiency with electrical CAD tools and PLM/ERP systems.
10+ years of experience in electrical/panel design engineering.
5+ years in a supervisory or engineering leadership role.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering function for UL 508A listed panels and assemblies.
Own compliance of panel designs with UL 508A requirements under the Follow-Up Service Program.
Review and approve drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics for UL/NEMA/IEC standards.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop panel design engineers and drafters.
Define competency requirements and lead technical training programs.
Oversee workload balancing, project assignment, and resource allocation.
