You will drive engineering output, coordinate with Sales, OEM, and Quality, and manage a team of engineers and drafters to ensure on‑time, high‑quality panel builds. The role requires 10+ years in electrical/panel design with UL 508A experience and 5+ years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical/panel design with UL 508A experience.
• 5+ years in supervisory/leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of UL 508A, NEC/NFPA70, NEMA and IEC standards.
• Proficient in CAD tools and PLM/ERP documentation.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering for UL 508A panels across product lines.
• Ensure compliance with UL 508A and coordinate with UL field inspections.
• Review and approve drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams for compliance.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop panel design engineers.
• Define competency requirements and lead training programs.
• Oversee workload balancing and resource allocation.
• Support engineering for quoting engineered-to-order panels.
• Escalation point for complex technical/design issues.
• Own change management, revision control, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with production for constructability and lead-time.
• Establish KPIs for throughput, quality and on-time release.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and rework.
• Root-cause analysis for design-related quality escalations.
• Represent Engineering in customer reviews and planning sessions.
• Liaise between Panel Engineering and Sales/OEM/Quality/Product Management.
• Support new product introductions and design library.
• Promote safety, accountability, high performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform other duties.
