Job summary

Electronic Power Designs (EPD), a Control Associates company, seeks a Senior Industrial Control Panel Electrical Engineer to join our Bloomingdale, NJ team. You will bridge customers, engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure UL and NEC compliance and lead UL certification activities.

You will review designs, interpret schematics, size components, and develop wiring diagrams and BOMs in AutoCAD, enabling robust panel manufacturing and FAT support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in industrial controls, control panel design, electrical engineering, or systems integration.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, control system drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience developing electrical drawings and engineering documentation using AutoCAD.
• Understanding of NEC/UL requirements and component selection.

Responsibilities

• Review customer-supplied electrical designs for completeness, functionality, safety, manufacturability, and compliance.
• Interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, and customer specifications.
• Verify component sizing to ensure UL and NEC compliance.
• Develop, update, and maintain electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD.
• Create and maintain accurate bills of materials for all panel assemblies.
• Develop engineering release packages to support manufacturing and testing.
• Identify design conflicts and manufacturability risks before production release.
• Grow into the primary UL Manufacturer's Technical Representative (MTR).
• Maintain compliance with all applicable standards and certification requirements.
