Job summary

Control Associates Inc, through its Electronic Power Designs (EPD) division, is seeking a Senior Industrial Control Panel Electrical Engineer in Bloomingdale, NJ to join our growing engineering team.

You will validate designs, ensure UL 508A and NEC compliance, and develop into the primary UL Manufacturer's Technical Representative (MTR), coordinating with customers, manufacturing, and quality to deliver complete, manufacturable engineering packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in industrial controls and panel design.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, diagrams, and specs.
• AutoCAD for creating and updating engineering docs.
• Understanding of component selection, sizing, and NEC/UL basics.
• Strong analytical abilities and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Review customer electrical designs for completeness and compliance.
• Interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, and specs.
• Verify components meet UL/NEC requirements and safety needs.
• Develop electrical drawings and BOMs for panel assemblies.
• Prepare robust engineering release packages for manufacturing.
• Identify design and manufacturability risks early.
