Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in UX/HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years UI/UX experience in regulated industry preferred.
  • Strong UX portfolio showing interaction design, visual design, and complex workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build solutions that support clinician, patient, and caregiver workflows while meeting safety, usability, and accessibility requirements.
  • Translate user requirements, clinical insights, and risk mitigations into UI solutions.
  • Ensure build consistency through patterns, style guides, and collaboration with design system owners.
  • Partner with Human Factors Engineering to integrate IEC 62366 and FDA usability requirements into the UI/UX workflow.
  • Support formative studies, heuristic evaluations, use-error analyses, and simulated-use testing.
  • Analyze study results and recommend build changes to improve safety and user experience.
  • Contribute to UI-related risk analysis (UFMEA, task analysis, use-related hazard identification).

What You'll Do:
  • Build solutions that support clinician, patient, and caregiver workflows while meeting safety, usability, and accessibility requirements.

  • Ensure build consistency through patterns, style guides, and collaboration with design system owners.
  • Partner with Human Factors Engineering to integrate IEC 62366 and FDA usability requirements into the UI/UX workflow.
  • Support formative studies, heuristic evaluations, use-error analyses, and simulated-use testing.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in UX/HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years UI/UX experience, reuglated industry preferred.
  • Strong UX portfolio showing interaction design, visual design, and complex workflows.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Axure
  • Experience with embedded/touchscreen interfaces or connected device ecosystems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000- $132, 000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
