Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Streams UI team, focusing on Fleet and Streams, the central management and data handling tools for Elastic Agent in Kibana. You will design and implement UI components, drive architecture discussions, and collaborate across time zones with a distributed team to deliver scalable, reusable UI solutions.

You will work on complex end-to-end UI problems, mentor engineers, and help advance the product with a strong emphasis on user experience

Qualifications

Proficient in TypeScript, React, and Node.js for UI development.
Strong system design and architecture judgment for large codebases.
Experience leading complex UI projects end-to-end with ownership.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and async collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and implement intuitive UI components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
Collaborate with backend services to ensure seamless user experiences.
Lead architecture discussions and make key technical decisions.
Promote reusable components, set coding standards, and ensure test/deploy automation.
Perform thorough code reviews, identify security risks, and maintain code quality.
Collaborate asynchronously across timezones with a distributed team on GitHub and Slack.
Partner with designers and product managers to translate mocks into UI and ensure consistent visual design.
