Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Streams UI team. You will shape and enhance our Fleet and Streams UI, building intuitive components with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

You will collaborate across timezones, lead architecture discussions, and promote reusable, well-tested UI code. The role emphasizes async collaboration, impactful product work, and close partnership with design and product teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient full-stack JavaScript with TypeScript and React on the front end and Node.js on the back end.
• Experience leading non-trivial projects end-to-end with design ownership.
• Strong architecture and system-design judgment for large codebases.
• Experience designing and launching multiple UI components that improve user engagement.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive UI components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Own complex problems end-to-end and drive technical decisions.
• Lead architecture discussions with focus on performance and scalability.
• Establish coding standards and promote reusable components with automated testing.
