Elastic seeks a Senior Software Engineer to enhance Fleet and Streams UI in Kibana, focusing on intuitive interfaces for managing Elastic Agent and log data streams. You’ll join a distributed team, shaping frontend architecture and delivering robust UI components.

The role emphasizes TypeScript, React, and Node.js with an emphasis on performance, scale, and collaboration across time zones, including close work with designers and product managers.

Qualifications

• Solid production experience with full-stack JavaScript, preferably TypeScript; React on the front end and Node.js on the back end.
• Experience leading non-trivial UI projects end-to-end with design ownership.
• Strong architecture and system-design judgment for large codebases.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive UI components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Own complex problems end-to-end, shape approach and deliver.
• Lead architecture discussions, balance performance and scale.
• Establish coding standards and promote reusable components with automated testing.
• Review code for quality, security, and readability, and mentor others.
• Collaborate asynchronously across time zones on GitHub and Slack.
• Partner with designers and product managers to translate mockups into UI.
