Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior User Interface Design Engineer to craft intuitive, high-trust digital experiences across clinical tools and care-facing platforms. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution from discovery to pixel-perfect delivery, while embracing an AI-fluent mindset as design tooling evolves.

You will join a lean design team reporting to the Director, Technology Solutions, collaborating with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to reduce cognitive load

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on product design experience (UI/UX) delivering digital products and complex interfaces.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert-level Figma skills (auto-layout, tokens, components, interactive prototyping).
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution within a design system.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and communicate with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for assigned product verticals from discovery to pixel-perfect delivery.
• Support and contribute to design systems, patterns, and scalable design standards.
• Present design recommendations and gather feedback to align stakeholders.
• Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes to validate complex interactions.
• Plan qualitative user research and usability testing to iterate quickly.
• Champion WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and plain-language design.
