Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior User Interface Design Engineer to craft intuitive, high-trust digital experiences across our clinical tools and care-facing platforms. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution from discovery to pixel-perfect delivery, incorporating an AI-fluent mindset as design tooling evolves.

You will join a lean design team, collaborating with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to solve complex healthcare workflows that reduce cognitive load for care

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on product design experience delivering digital products, web apps, or complex enterprise platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert-level Figma skills (auto-layout, tokens, component variables, interactive prototyping).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for assigned product verticals — from discovery through pixel-perfect delivery.
• Support and contribute to design systems, patterns, and scalable design standards.
• Present design recommendations and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback.
• Build interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate complex interactions and validate user flows.
• Plan and execute qualitative user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions.
• Champion accessibility and plain-language design principles; ensure regulatory/privacy considerations.
