Job summary
VFI seeks a Tier 3 Unified Communications/Audio Visual Engineer to provide expert-level engineering, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support for enterprise UC and AVMM systems in Laurel, MD. You will lead complex deployments across CONUS/OCONUS and resolve escalated issues with minimal service disruption.
The role targets 7+ years of UC/AVMM experience, a related degree, and an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph; DoD/IC exposure and CTS/CCNP-type certifications are highly valued.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant UC/AVMM engineering experience (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting enterprise UC/AVMM environments at Tier 3.
- Strong knowledge of multiple UC/AVMM technologies and integration.
Responsibilities
- Serve as highest escalation point for UC/AVMM troubleshooting and resolution.
- Lead root-cause analysis for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide Tier 3 installation, configuration, and maintenance across enterprise UC systems.
- Design interoperable UC system designs across multi-level security platforms.
- Monitor system performance and optimize configurations with minimal disruption.
- Document systems with diagrams, change proposals, and guides.
- Lead upgrades/patches and validate changes with testing.
- Support site surveys, migrations, and deployments in CONUS/OCONUS.
- Mentor Tier 1/2 teams and liaison with Government stakeholders.
