Job summary

NCC in Alexandria, VA is seeking an Audio-Visual Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert to serve as the technical authority for VTC, digital signage, and hybrid collaboration environments across the enterprise.

The role owns the technical roadmap, architectural baselines, and engineering integrity of communication hubs supporting thousands of federal workers and executives, with a focus on security compliance and seamless AV/OIP delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience architecting AV/VTC environments and hybrid spaces.
• Knowledge of security guidelines (NIST/STIG) for AV/VTC systems.
• Strong problem-solving for complex AV/VTC issues on enterprise scale.
• Experience with UCaaS platforms and conferencing systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect blueprints for USPTO conference rooms and hybrid spaces.
• Design AV-over-IP interfaces with QoS and VLANs.
• Ensure firmware and UC apps comply with security guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve complex AV/VTC failures.
• Lead investigations and implement enterprise remediation.
• Maintain onsite engineering lab for testing firmware and hardware.
• Oversee control programming to unify interfaces.
• Master UCaaS platforms like MTR, Webex, Zoom Rooms.
• Model and test AV ecosystems with Crestron, Extron, AMX.
• Track milestones using Microsoft Project.
