Job summary

V2X in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an accomplished UAI Lead Engineer to join our Weapon System Integration team. You will lead the development, integration, testing, and documentation of mission-system software across virtual machines and target hardware.

As a senior IPT member, you will own the software backlog, collaborate with systems engineering, and mentor engineers while coordinating with industry partners and customer events to ensure robust, verifiable delivery on DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred for senior level roles.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• 5–8 years' related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware.
• Expertise in embedded or mission-system software development, integration, and test.
• Proficiency with CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management.
• Ability to translate mission objectives into actionable software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration, testing, and documentation of WSI software.
• Architect and implement new capabilities and integrate software on VMs and target hardware.
• Own and manage the software backlog within IPT and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor teammates and drive process improvements and robust testing.
• Support on-site integration trips and customer engagements.
