Job summary

Steel Ceilings, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is seeking an Amada turret press operator. You will set up, run, and maintain Amada turret punch press equipment to produce sheet-metal components that meet schedules and specifications.

This role requires a strong mechanical background, precision setup, and independent troubleshooting to ensure high-tolerance parts across varying production runs. Safety and quality are paramount in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and tolerances.
• Operate CNC turret press equipment with precision.
• Follow setup instructions and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and drawings before production.
• Load tooling, material, and CNC program per setup docs.
• Operate Amada turret press per procedures and schedules.
• Inspect tooling for wear and adjust as needed.
• Monitor feeding, punching, forming, and scrap removal.
• Record production quantities and downtime accurately.
