Job summary

Armstrong World Industries in Johnstown, Ohio, is seeking a skilled Amada Turret Press Operator to safely set up, run, inspect, and maintain turret punch press equipment to meet schedules and specifications.

You will perform first-piece checks, adjust tooling, monitor feeding and scrap, and document downtime and quality issues, while upholding safety standards in a busy metal fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC turret presses and sheet-metal fabrication.
• Ability to read work orders and shop drawings.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, drawings, and setup instructions before production.
• Load turret tooling and align tools per setup documentation.
• Inspect tooling for wear and proper installation before use.
• Load CNC program and verify settings, revision levels, and materials.
• Perform first-piece run and obtain approval before full production.
• Monitor feeding, punching, forming, scrap removal, and tool performance during operation.
• Document production quantities, downtime, and material usage.
