Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of applicable engineering experience, with strong structural analysis background.
• Experience with ANSYS Mechanical or similar FEA software; basic CREO knowledge.
• Experience in linear and nonlinear structural analysis, including thermal coupling and materials nonlinearity.
• Ability to validate analytical results with hand calculations and engineering judgement.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead structural and FEA analyses of turbomachinery components and systems.
• Develop analytical approaches and evaluate results against design criteria; provide recommendations.
• Support design evaluations, failures investigations, and corrective actions.
• Develop and improve analysis methodologies, procedures, and standards for consistency.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less-experienced engineers; collaborate on advanced methods.
