Job summary

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced turbomachinery consultant to lead advanced thermal and structural analyses on gas and steam turbine components.

You will develop digital twin models, perform FEA, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a minimum of 10 years in turbomachinery design/analysis, proficiency in ANSYS/Abaqus and CAD tools, and the ability to present technical findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of turbomachinery structural design and analysis experience.
• Experience with gas or steam turbine design and equipment evaluation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA tools (ANSYS/Abaqus).
• Develop analytical digital twin models using CAD/FEA.
• Lead complex analyses and provide engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and relevant standards.
• Ability to automate processes using AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced FEA thermal and structural analyses of turbomachinery components.
• Develop detailed 2D/3D models of rotors and blades.
• Conduct ASME code evaluations and ensure compliance.
• Develop analytical digital twin models for performance and lifecycle management.
• Integrate thermal/fluids results into structural FEA models.
• Assess operating conditions to determine remaining life and failure modes.
• Present technical reports and recommendations to clients.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
• Lead client meetings and maintain long-term relationships.
• Support internal R&D on automation and AI in analyses.
