Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks a TMC Senior Application Engineer to join our turbomachinery controls team. You will be the subject matter expert for all technical pieces—hardware, software, and control schemes—and will guide startups, user training, and client consultations.

You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across steam and gas turbines, compressors, generators, and diesel engines. Travel up to 25% and engage in design, programming, FAT, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 7+ years turbomachinery controls experience in at least two of: steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, compressors (surge), generators (AVR), diesel engines.
• Experience with Triconex hardware and TS1131 software is a major plus.
• Ability to multi-task on multiple projects and communicate clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the client as the Turbomachinery Controls expert and provide startup support and training.
• Work in multi-discipline teams in turbomachinery, including steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, generators, diesel engines, and hydro turbines.
• Participate in KO meetings, system design drawings, control narratives, programming, FAT, and commissioning on-site.
• Support sales and proposals for TMC.
