ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, seeks a Principal Control Systems Engineer to lead execution of complex turbine and plant control projects in the electric power sector. The role supports remote, hybrid, or in-office work arrangements, with travel required to meeting sites and client locations.

The position emphasizes design and programming of DCS/PLC systems, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high‑impact solutions for safe, efficient plant operation.

Qualifications

• 10–20+ years of experience in controls, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Subject-matter expertise in steam turbine, gas turbine, and/or balance-of-plant controls.
• Strong knowledge of DCS and PLC systems, including programming and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork through effective communication with peers and clients.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15–30% locally and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of complex power generation projects focusing on power plant control systems.
• Design and program hardware and software solutions for power plants (instruments, controls, electrical).
• Support proposals by defining technical scopes, estimating schedules, and planning resources.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors through Design Reviews and Project Closeout.
• Travel as needed (approx. 15–30%) to support project needs and client engagement.
