Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead advanced turbine design for aircraft and industrial gas turbines. You will collaborate with the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board, influence strategy, and drive cross-domain improvements.

The role may be offered as a controlled title and requires senior-level expertise and leadership. The position offers remote or onsite work at our Cincinnati headquarters, with in-person orientation on Day 1.

Qualifications

• US candidates: Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics and 15+ years experience.
• US candidates: Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics and 14+ years experience.
• US candidates: PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering focusing on turbomachinery aerodynamics with 12+ years experience.
• European candidates: Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics and major relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead turbine aerodynamic design and analysis across product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking and risk mitigation with stakeholders.
• Mentor and apply DEQ processes and producibility reviews.
• Drive design/process improvements across domains and sites.
• Develop and maintain engineering or manufacturing practices manuals.
• Influence strategy through industry trends and GE advancements.
• Lead program issue resolution to meet customer/regulatory expectations.
• Maximize business value through cross-domain collaboration.
• Coach and train early-career personnel across domains.
