Aerodyn Engineering in Whitestown, IN is seeking a Turbo Test Technician to build and test components in hot gas stand cells. You will apply mechanical aptitude, read drawings, set up measurement equipment, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with engineering and shop personnel to meet cost, schedule, and customer requirements while documenting test results and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Competenze

• 5+ years of Testing, Automotive, or similar industry experience.
• A&P Mechanics, EETs, or METs are preferred.

This position will be responsible for technical knowledge, overview of test cell mechanics, and overall customer satisfaction related to tests at the facility. This position will provide day-to-day mechanical aptitude and work with engineering and shop personnel to meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible to follow all personal protective equipment and safety procedures.Utilize mechanical aptitude and review drawing schematics to work with a turbo test cell to set up accurate test measurement equipment.Install appropriate test cell pipes, perform leak checks, and monitor data in mechanical gas turbine test cells.Develop detailed and effective test records by utilizing all resources internally and monitor customer requirements/specifications.Requests to lead test technician all essential parts and equipment as needed.Assist in loading/unloading of customer test articles within the facility.Develops the assembly/test flow for each project as required. Identifies risks and develops mitigation plans.Responsible for status updates and effective completion of all aspects of test including work performed by other departments.Communicate timely with lead test technician with all information related to the test, including promptly reporting any technical issues, errors or concessions, or any specialized concerns related to the test.Keeps track of lessons learned tests within the facility and shares with team members for continual improvement.Supports a continuous learning attitude for relevant technical knowledge.
