Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead turbine aerodynamic design and analysis for aircraft and industrial engines. The role collaborates with the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board and may be offered as a controlled title based on qualifications.

The position offers flexibility to be performed remotely or onsite at our Cincinnati headquarters with in-person New Hire Orientation Day 1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics focus.
• Experience aligning design decisions with manufacturing and field operations is preferred.
• 15+ years (US) or 12+ years (PhD path) of engineering experience in aerodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in turbine aerodynamic design and analysis across product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking and risk mitigation with stakeholders.
• Mentor DEQ processes and drive product/process improvements.
• Identify opportunities for improved designs, methods, or tools across domains.
• Develop and maintain engineering/manufacturing practice manuals.
