Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead advanced turbine design for aircraft and industrial engines. You will guide cross-functional teams, shape strategy, and collaborate with the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board; the role may be offered as a controlled title depending on qualifications.

This senior position requires deep turbomachinery aerodynamics expertise, CFD, testing, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics emphasis and 15+ years of experience (US).
• Master’s Degree in the same fields with 14+ years of experience; PhD with 12+ years is also acceptable.
• For European candidates: Bachelor’s Degree with turbomachinery aerodynamics and major relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead turbine aerodynamic design and analysis across the product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking, risk mitigation, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Mentor others in DEQ processes and drive design/process improvements.
• Identify opportunities for cross-domain improvements and drive implementation.
• Lead program issue resolution to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
