GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead advancements in high and low-pressure turbine design for aircraft and industrial gas turbine products. You will drive long-term strategic planning, collaborate with the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board, and manage design, industrialization, and production improvements across domains.

The role requires extensive experience in turbomachinery aerodynamics, strong leadership, and the ability to influence senior leaders.

Qualifikationen

• US candidates: Bachelor’s Degree + 15 years of relevant experience or Master’s +14 years or PhD +12 years.
• European candidates: Bachelor’s Degree with turbomachinery aerodynamics and major relevant experience.

Aufgaben

• Recognized SME in Turbine Aerodynamic Design and Analysis across product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking, risk mitigation, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Mentor in DEQ process and apply product/process improvement tools to reduce variations.
• Identify opportunities for improved designs, methods, processes, and tools across domains.
• Develop and maintain Engineering or Manufacturing Practices Manuals and Lessons Learned.
• Influence Design Boards and leaders to develop robust strategies.
• Lead program issue resolution to meet customer/regulatory expectations.
• Optimize designs to maximize business value via cross-domain collaboration.
• Coach and train early-career personnel in the domain.
• Address strategic gaps in domain, site, or organizational health.
• Foster psychological safety and effective leadership under pressure.

Ausbildung

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics, US candidates, min 15 years experience

Master’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics, min 14 years experience

PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics, min 12 years experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics, European candidates, strong experience
