Job summary

NPAworldwide client is a leading global consultancy delivering large-scale capital projects. We seek a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical work for the Hudson Tunnel Project, shaping a landmark rail improvement connecting New York, New Jersey and the Northeast Corridor.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical coursework.
• 5–10 years of relevant geotechnical experience in NJ/NYC area.
• EIT certification; PE registration preferred.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software for design of deep and shallow foundations and slope stability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geotechnical subsurface investigations (boring logs, in-situ tests, field records).
• Supervise pile foundation construction, ground improvement, excavation, and monitoring activities.
• Monitor daily construction activities and prepare field reports.
• Prepare/review Geotechnical Data Reports, GMBs, and foundation design reports.
• Review design/construction documents (RFIs, submittals, change orders).
• Perform geotechnical design for underground structures and foundations in soil/rock.
• Characterize subsurface data and prepare geotechnical profiles.
• Model deep foundations and excavation support systems using geotechnical software.
