NPAworldwide seeks a Senior Resident Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP) to oversee on-site construction, safety, and quality in a premier capital project connecting New York and New Jersey. The role emphasizes leadership, coordination among contractors, and rigorous documentation.

The candidate should have 10+ years in heavy civil construction, SEM tunnelling experience, and a proven track record in safety and reporting. Competitive package and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil construction
• Experience with SEM tunnelling preferred
• Experience with TBMs, shotcrete lining, and shaft construction preferred
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Proven safety enforcement and documentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Serve as main liaison between contractors, site supervisors and project engineers to resolve issues and align objectives.
• Enforce safety programs and monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations for heavy civil tunnelling work.
• Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports on progress, site conditions, inspections, tests, and incidents.
• Identify and resolve on-site engineering and construction issues related to excavation and SEM tunnelling.
