Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Architect to design solutions meeting customer requirements in web performance. You will develop customer relationships using a consultative approach and present the right technical solution in collaboration with Sales.

You will influence product direction, work with Engineering and Product Management, and support complex proofs of concepts to drive opportunities forward. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in technical pre-sales or equivalent
• Experience in large, complex customer-facing environments
• Experience with proxy architectures, malware, endpoint protections, and threat mitigation techniques
• Proficiency presenting technical and business subjects to diverse audiences
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, APIs, CI/CD and cloud computing architectures
• Familiarity with DNS, Enterprise architectures, Cloud Security, SAML/OIDC, IdPs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and customer conversations for web performance products from a technical go-to-market perspective
• Support strategic opportunities and accounts as a Pre-Sales technology specialist
• Contribute as a subject matter expert on one or more web performance products
• Assist Solutions Engineer teams with Proof of Concepts and escalated technical discussions
• Influence product design and roadmaps with Engineering and Product Management
• Lead Pre-Sales SME enablement in assigned domains
• Provide guidance on how to outperform competitors
