You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to define standards and roadmaps, focusing on automation, reliability, and performance.

You will lead architectural discussions, present designs, and influence cross-functional decisions while maintaining high standards for security and quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in relevant field and a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong track record in distributed system architecture design and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions
• Ability to present and support architectural and security designs to cross-functional teams
• Experience with software development life cycle, including Unix/Linux environments

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product management and engineering teams to describe and design solutions aligned with Akamai's strategy and roadmap
• Present and support architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams
• Define and implement standards for systems design, development, testing and quality assurance practices
• Design reliable, high-quality software for robust, scalable, and highly available systems
• Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation
