Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Architect (Senior TSA) to design solutions for web performance customers and lead strategic technical conversations in a pre-sales capacity.

You will develop customer relationships using a consultative approach, assist in complex PoCs, and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to influence roadmaps and product design.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or consulting roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, APIs, CI/CD and cloud computing architectures.
• Experience with DNS, Enterprise architectures, Cloud Security, SAML and OIDC.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and customer conversations in selling web performance products from a technical go-to-market perspective.
• Support strategic opportunities and accounts as a Pre-Sales technology specialist and technical escalation point.
• Participate and contribute as the subject matter expert in one or more web performance products.
• Assist Solutions Engineer teams with complex Proof of Concepts and escalated technical discussions to drive opportunities forward.
• Influence strategy for products focusing on cloud and edge computing, DevOps, website/mobile apps, real-user monitoring, and CDN.
• Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to influence new product design and existing product roadmap.
• Lead Pre-Sales SME enablement groups in your specialized or other assigned domains.
• Leverage a deep understanding of competitors to provide internal teams with guidance on how to surpass them.
