Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), SME, to support DoD mission-critical environments and Space Force programs. You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions for classified networks, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems.

You will coordinate RMF, NIST, and IC policy compliance, perform risk analyses, and present findings to senior leadership while collaborating with government

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• 15+ years of cybersecurity/ISSE experience in DoD or IC environments.
• Extensive RMF implementation and management experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, DoD, DAF, and IC policies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cybersecurity engineering and strategic guidance for DoD and Space Force programs.
• Lead design, implementation, and assessment of cybersecurity solutions.
• Support integration of security controls across classified systems and networks.
• Ensure compliance with RMF, NIST, DoD, DAF, and IC cybersecurity requirements.
• Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and remediation recommendations.
• Evaluate security impacts of changes and support ATO processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into missions.
• Track cyber risk items and present findings to leadership.
