Job summary

Fontaine Modification Company is seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer to support and execute the quote-to-delivery process for assigned customer opportunities. This role translates customer requirements into actionable internal direction and coordinates with engineering, purchasing, and operations to ensure on-time delivery.

The position may be based in Dallas, TX or Charlotte, NC, requiring disciplined follow-up, technical learning agility, and strong commercial judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or related field.
• Experience with commercial vehicles, truck equipment, or vocational applications preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems; strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution process for opportunities from initial request through quotation and delivery support.
• Translate requirements into clear internal direction for engineering, purchasing, production, and operations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to confirm feasibility, cost, lead time, and production readiness.
• Serve as a key contact for customers on quotes, timing, and open issues.
• Track opportunities, quotes, and orders, maintaining accurate information in ERP/CRM systems.
