Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the New York bar.

• Experience with NY Labor Law construction, premises liability, and insurance defense.
• Court appearance experience for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Strong trial experience in personal injury or general liability cases preferred.

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, and other litigation matters.
• Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation through trial.
• Conduct and defend depositions, handle court appearances, and motion practice.
• Prepare and examine witnesses, ensuring thorough case preparation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and partners on legal projects and case strategy.
• Communicate with clients to provide status reports and counsel on case developments.
• Participate in trial strategy discussions and prepare trial exhibits and evidence.
• Deliver high-level client service by managing expectations and achieving excellent outcomes.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in the State of New York.
• At least 8 years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with construction (NYS Labor Law), insurance defense, and premises liability.
• Experience appearing in court for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Demonstrated trial experience with personal injury or general liability cases preferred.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
