Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Senior Analyst (Treasury) to lead energy commodity contracts for gas and power activities. You will negotiate, review, and maintain master agreements, coordinate with legal, credit and commercial teams, and ensure data integrity in the ETRM system.

The role collaborates with traders, marketers and settlements to meet contract needs, while ensuring compliance with Dodd-Frank and SOX controls. Hybrid role with office days across National Grid locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related majors; experience working with legal department is a plus.
• Allegro knowledge is a strong plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and negotiation skills due to extensive cross-department interaction.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation of Financial and Physical master agreements for multiple National Grid entities (e.g., NAESB, ISDA, Master Power Agreements).
• Support legal, credit and commercial teams in contract review, redlining, editing and post-execution tasks.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside counsel to ensure terms comply with policies, laws and strategy.
• Enter and maintain counterparty and contract data in ETRM (Allegro).
• Maintain contract templates and manage updates as needed.
• Manage internal Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and third-party responses.
• Review and execute transaction confirmations.
• Prepare, review and file contracts with NY PSC, coordinating redaction of confidential info.
• Collaborate with traders, marketers and settlements to meet contract needs.
• Ensure compliance with Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
• Gather sales tax exemption forms from trading partners.
• Liaise with SAP/Master Data to ensure timely entry of counterparty information.
• Act as back-up for daily indices reporting and trade confirmation process.
• Negotiate and maintain ~2,200 contracts with ~1,000 counterparties across 6 entities.
