Job summary

The position supports the Transportation Supervisor and ensures safety and regulatory compliance across the fleet. Applicants must have a CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements, a valid Arizona fingerprint clearance, and an exemplary driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Background clearance upon employment.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required upon employment.
• Must possess and maintain Arizona CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements.
• At least one year of school bus operation experience.
• Understand and comply with traffic laws.
• Excellent driving record and DOT health card.

Responsibilities

• Drive as backup to scheduled routes, field trips, and events.
• Lead Trainer duties: schedule safety meetings and trainings.
• Create and maintain training plans and modules for staff.
• Maintain training records and certifications per regulations.
• Coordinate bus evacuation drills and safety training.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure student safety.
