Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma.
• Must possess/maintain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (Arizona IVP) upon employment.
• Background clearance (upon employment).
• Experience in school transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Two years of leadership and supervisory experience.
• At least one year of experience operating a school bus and school bus equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bus drivers, aides, trainers and mechanics staff, providing coaching and monitoring performance.
• Assist with hiring and evaluating drivers and aides.
• Communicate route changes, delays, and important updates promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of bus routes, field trip requirements, schedules and vehicle reservations.
• Collaborate with district leaders to align supports and priorities.
• Prepare memoranda outlining administrative procedures and policies and driver schedules.
• Optimize routes for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Promote and enforce student transportation safety standards and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and prepare required reports.
• Create and facilitate rider verification and routing software training as needed.
