Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Transportation/Roadway Engineer to join our team across our office locations including Greenville SC and Columbia SC. You will lead roadway and multimodal design, produce contract plans, specs, and estimates, and guide junior staff while collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of post-licensure engineering experience in transportation/roadway design.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer; ability to train and supervise staff.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience preparing final design plans, specs, and estimates.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design for multi-discipline transportation projects and produce plans, specs, and estimates.
• Lead engineering design tasks for roadway geometric design and reports.
• Develop contract plans and technical specifications.
• Support project execution including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate engineers, designers, and technicians on projects.
• Perform quality control on design calculations, drawings, and estimates.
• Assist with marketing and business development efforts.
• Coordinate with clients, discipline leads, sub consultants, agencies, and utilities.
