Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Transportation/Roadway Engineer to join our teams across multiple office locations including Memphis, TN. The role focuses on roadway and sidewalk/greenway design for local transportation and DOT projects, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and learn from top local experts.

You will deliver contract plans, specifications, and estimates, lead design tasks, and ensure compliance with design criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 10+ years of post-licensure transportation/roadway experience.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience preparing final design plans, specs, and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design tasks for roadway geometric design and plan production.
• Develop contract plans and prepares technical specs and cost estimates.
• Assist with project scope, budget, and schedule coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with clients and colleagues.
• Perform quality control on design calculations, drawings and reports.
• Support marketing and business development efforts.
• Coordinate with clients, discipline leads, sub consultants and utilities.
