Job summary

The role includes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with clients and team members, ensuring design standard compliance, and supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of post-licensure engineering experience in transportation/roadway design.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer with ability to train/supervise staff.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience preparing final design plans, specs, and estimates.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs process design of multi-discipline transportation projects, evaluating alternatives and conducting studies.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure design compliance with standards.
• Develops contract plans and prepares specifications and cost estimates.
• Assists with project execution including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Leads coordination of engineers, designers, and technicians on projects.
• Performs quality control on design products and estimates.
• Assists with marketing and business development efforts.
• Communicates with clients, leads, sub-consultants and regulatory agencies.
