Job summary
VHB is seeking a Senior Transportation Roadway Engineer to lead the delivery of roadway and multimodal projects across Virginia, including Richmond, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg. You will mentor engineers, guide projects from concept through construction, and collaborate with clients and subconsultants in a hybrid work environment.
The role requires 8+ years of roadway engineering experience and a PE, with BS in Civil Engineering (MS a plus).
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering required; MS a plus.
- 8+ years of professional transportation roadway engineering experience required.
- PE certification required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the design and production of transportation projects including highway widenings/reconstruction, intersection improvements, roundabouts, shared-use paths, and bike/pedestrian facilities.
- Manage multiple projects and mentor junior engineers while coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Prepare and validate scopes of work, support client engagement, and ensure quality control of work products.
