Tighe & Bond in Manchester, NH is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for our Transportation team. You will lead roadway design initiatives, liaise with clients, and manage budgets, schedules, and resources for projects across the Northeast.

The role offers a hybrid work environment, opportunities to mentor staff, and engagement with state DOTs and private clients to deliver sustainable, high‑impact infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience with roadway/highway design.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of roadway projects.
• Serve as primary client liaison and manage relationships.
• Oversee budgets, scopes, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide technical leadership on roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and traffic elements.
• Prepare and review reports, design calculations, PS&E packages, and permits.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, MUTCD, FHWA, and DOT standards.
• Coordinate with municipalities, state agencies, and utilities.
• Mentor junior staff and support growth.
• Assist in business development: proposals, interviews, client presentations.
